Defence Aptitude Assessment
Spatial Reasoning
Two timed parts. The first fits flat shapes together. The second turns two different 3D objects, and you follow a red dot on each.
Part 1 · Flat shapes
10 questions, 4 minutes.
- You get three or four shapes. A side marked x, y or z has to meet the side with the same letter.
- Turn a shape, or flip it over, if that is what makes the sides meet.
- The pieces sit snug. They do not overlap, and they do not leave a gap.
- Pick the combined shape.
Part 2 · 3D objects
10 questions, 4 minutes.
- Two different shapes are shown, each in its own colour. Each has a red dot on a corner or an edge.
- The first picture stays upright, with only a slight tilt. The answers can turn a shape onto its side or upside down. The dot stays on the same part of the shape.
- Pick the picture where both dots are still on those same parts.
A to E chooses an answer. Enter moves on. You can move back. A blank scores as incorrect.
